La crisis de 2001 en Río Negro : protestas, “voto bronca” y renuncias comunales

Abstract

En este trabajo analizamos la crisis del 2001 en la provincia de Río Negro desde las elecciones de octubre de ese año hasta el recrudecimiento de la conflictividad sociopolítica provincial, en enero y febrero de 2002, e inscribimos el acontecimiento en un período de mediana duración. Lo hacemos considerando las tensiones entre “la política” y “lo político” y sus relaciones “en las urnas” y en “las calles” desde una perspectiva de indagación subnacional. Para ello, recurrimos a la prensa escrita regional y nacional, a datos electorales ofrecidos por el Tribunal Electoral Provincial de Río Negro y al testimonio oral de dirigentes sindicales provinciales.

In this paper, we analyze the 2001 crisis in the province of Río Negro from the October elections of that year to the intensification of the provincial sociopolitical conflict in January and February 2002, placing the event in a period of medium duration. We do so by considering the tensions between "politics" and "the political" and the relations that took place "between the ballot boxes and the streets" from a subnational research perspective. To this end, we resort to the regional and national written press, to electoral data provided by the Provincial Electoral Tribunal of Río Negro and to the oral testimony of provincial union leaders.
